What satellite service providers and satellites work with each TRAV’LER antennas?
Each TRAV’LER antenna is designed to work with specific providers. The TRAV’LER antennas work with DIRECTV, DISH, Bell TV, and Shaw Direct. The DIRECTV SWM TRAV’LER antenna is compatible with satellites 99°, 101°, and 103° for DIRECTV SD/HD programming. The DISH/Bell TV TRAV’LER antenna is compatible with satellites 110°, 119°, 129° for DISH Western Arc SD/HD programming and satellites 82° and 91° for Bell TV SD/HD programming. The Shaw Direct TRAV’LER antenna is compatible with satellites 107° and 111° for Shaw Direct SD/HD programming. |
Can I use the Eastern Arc with the DISH/Bell TV TRAV’LER antenna?
The DISH/Bell TV TRAV’LER antenna is not compatible for Eastern Arc in multi-satellite mode. It may be capable of reading satellites 61.5°, 72.7° and 77° in manual mode depending on the manufacture date of the antenna. |
Is HD service available with TRAV’LER antennas?
Yes, all TRAV’LER antennas can receive both standard and HD programming from the respective satellite service providers (programming sold separately). |
What is required to receive HD programming with a TRAV’LER antenna?
In addition to a TRAV’LER antenna, you must have an HD programming package, an HD receiver, and an HD TV (sold separately). |
How many TVs does the TRAV’LER support?
With the DIRECTV SWM TRAV’LER, you can watch different programs on separate televisions with up to four single-tuner or two dual-tuner receivers being supported with the provided parts; if you buy the 8-way DIRECTV splitter, up to 8 tuners will be supported (with regular receivers using one tuner and DVRs using Two tuners). Out of the box, the DISH/Bell TV TRAV’LER antenna supports watching different programs on up to three televisions; to add more receivers, additional accessories will be necessary. The Shaw Direct TRAV’LER antenna supports watching different programs on up to four televisions. |
How many receivers can be connected to each TRAV’LER antenna?
The DIRECTV SWM TRAV’LER antenna includes a 4-way splitter, which easily allows connection of up to 4 receivers, including DVRs; DIRECTV also offers 8-way splitters, which would easily allow up to 8 receivers. The DIRECTV SWM TRAV’LER antenna is limited to a total of 8 tuners with regular receivers using 1 tuner and DVRs using 2 tuners. The Genie DVR will use five tuners. The DISH/Bell TV TRAV’LER antenna can connect to up to three receivers, and the Shaw Direct TRAV’LER antenna can connect to up to four receivers. |

Will the TRAV’LER antenna work while traveling down the road?
